Regulator Clock - Macassar ebony
Height 72" 183cms, width 13 1/2" 34cms, depth 9" 23cms
The case is veneered with selected Macassar ebony veneers and features handcut diamond parquetry both on the base and inside the case. The chamfered base and plinth mouldings are ebonised. Diamond sound holes in the sides have recessed brass grilles lined with locally woven silk.
Wooden bun feet may be adjusted to accommodate uneven floors. The door frame is fitted with polished bevelled glass.
Timekeeping is powered by two polished brass weights and regulated by a cylindrical brass pendulum.
The movement has a Westminster strike on 4 bells and is fitted with an optional night silence.
